Somerset Council's Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP) continues until at least Friday AM

Due to continuing severe weather in all areas of Somerset, Somerset Council, is EXTENDING its Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP).

This will be in place until the morning of Friday (10/01/25) when it will be reviewed.

Severe Weather Emergency Provision in Somerset has two aims:

• To ensure that no one dies on the streets due to severe weather

• To ensure that every effort is made to engage individuals with support

Additional resources are available to support people sleeping rough during severe weather and accommodation may be available.
